The Stadium achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good at Games Construction (assessed by DBK) with an aspiration for Excellent. Following the Games, for the new tenants West Ham United Football Club a new roof was required to cover all spectators, and concourse areas and hospitality facilities we created and improved. Balfour Beatty appointed Southfacing as BREEAM assessors to cover the transformation design and the final Legacy BREEAM certification. The Stadium has been used for events such as the Rugby World Cup and for West Ham football club.
